We all know that China is a new superpower that has emerged in the world, and its growth is remarkable. China is considered a dark horse that has quickly established itself.


It has already surpassed America. The current figure is interesting: America now owes China $1.241 trillion, or about three times the GDP (Gross Domestic Product) of Thailand.


Due to the crisis in America in 2008 and Europe in 2009, China was able to turn itself around and stand on its own and become the dominant player in the world economy.

The rise of China's power has made Thai entrepreneurs unable to ignore it. China is very large and has a population of 1,357 million people, which is 20 times larger than Thailand, making many entrepreneurs want to seize this business opportunity.

Many people see the opportunity, but few can effectively penetrate the Chinese market. It is easy to see that there are many Thai products that are popular among Chinese people. Chinese people like Thai products very much, especially massage and spa products, various handicrafts, cosmetics and snacks. However, there are very few Thai entrepreneurs who can sell and be recognized in China.

This means that China is an interesting market, but it is very difficult to penetrate the market because the Chinese market has its own unique characteristics. In the past, China was a closed country that was not very open to outside cultures and businesses, including instilling the idea of patriotism in its people. This made Chinese entrepreneurs not rely on imported products from abroad. Some of them created products and businesses in a similar format to foreign products to replace them. For this reason, most foreigners see Chinese people as the best at copying. A simple example is Samsung mobile phones and iPhones, which Chinese companies have created phones that are similar to these two companies but are half the price, which are very popular. Or even many strange car brands in China that other countries have never seen. Due to the ability to produce cheap and efficient products, as well as the patriotism and unity of many Chinese people, most Chinese people support the products and services of large Chinese companies before using the products and products of foreign companies.

In terms of social media and online platforms, China is no different. China has created its own channels such as Weibo, which replaced Facebook and Twitter, WeChat, which replaced Whatsapp and LINE, and Baidu, which replaced Google. For this reason, many foreign companies trying to enter China face problems, ranging from lack of support from the Chinese government and trading partners to the inability to access marketing channels that are unique to China.

It is true that there are many companies that have failed, but at the same time, there are many companies that have succeeded in penetrating the Chinese market, such as Tao Kae Noi, which is now available in 7-Eleven and supermarkets in China, Malee fruit juice, which has knowledge from all over the country, or Snail White, which was so successful that people started producing fake products, and Mistine cosmetics, which were bought up by Chinese tourists until they could not keep up with production. Therefore, there must be some secrets that these successful companies have done correctly and have been able to penetrate the Chinese market effectively.

My intention in writing this book is to help entrepreneurs understand the essence of Chinese consumers, understand the various channels that can effectively promote Thai products and services into the Chinese market, and also be able to expand their business, increase partnerships, and cooperate with China for rapid and sustainable development.
